I hated painting this model.. Normally not something I would say about the amazing sculpts from Forge World but I was stuck in a quagmire when it came to getting it done, there was just something about it.. In the end I actually painted it completely twice, just because I wasn't happy with the finish the first time so I just re-primed the thing and started again over the top. Now, I am happy enough with the results, the Malanthrope looks pretty grim, all covered in gore and juice as it picks its way around the battlefield farming the corpses of the fallen.
Anyway, I'm really glad it's done, its got a hell of a lot of utility on the battlefield!
